Kimberly Diamond is a native of Columbia, South Carolina. She is a graduate of Benedict College with a Bachelors degree in Mass Communications and a licensed cosmetologist since 1993. Kimberly, also known as KIMestry, chose to reach for her dream of becoming an entrepreneur and in 2010 she launched her salon called KIMestry, LLC. This “Invitation Only” salon allows Kimberly the opportunity to cater to each client on an individual needs basis. The mission of KIMestry is to empower women through beauty and health, placing a special interest on natural hair care and holistic living. Her motto is “Finding the NATURUAL you is not a science; it’s a KIMestry”.
KIMestry is active in the community and supports various worthy causes, such as sponsoring the City of Columbia’s Annual Mayor’s Walk against Domestic Violence, and has provided generous support for organizations such as Sister Care and SCCADVASA. KIMestry has been a continual business supporter of the Annual Harambee Festival and Black Expo events.
Featured on various media outlets, KIMestry has made appearances on Carolina Panorama Newspaper as Business of the Week, The State Newspaper’s Health Education Campaign focusing on educating clients on colorectal cancer, WIS TV’s Awareness Community Affairs Program, SC ETV “Connections” hosted by PA Bennett, City Talk Radio Show, which airs on WGCV 620 AM and City TV, City of Columbia’s public education channel. KIMesty has been a repeat guest of Good Day Columbia WACH Fox TV Morning Show where she spoke on various topics concerning domestic violence education as well as Holistic Living. KIMestry’s brand continues to grow through these media outlets as well as social media. Her followers reach out to her on a daily basis for advice on natural hair and holistic living.
As a licensed cosmetologist, KIMestry serves as a certified state board examiner for South Carolina. She's also on the advisory board of cosmetology for both Virginia College and Remington College. While managing a busy professional schedule, she also frequently serves as a judge for pageants; emcee and panelist for special events, image consultant, and natural lifestyle coach, and is an experienced public speaker and trainer. She has served as a judge for the Mr. and Miss Benedict Pageant, special guest speaker for the CA Johnson High School JAGG program, vendor and panelist for MBS Fitness Expo, guest speaker for the Blythewood High School Natural Hair Group -C.U.R.L.S., and various hair care, health care, and holistic living workshops. KIMestry is a strong advocate for celibacy and speaks frequently on the topic with both single adults and teenagers.
